Job Description:
Desired Academic Qualification: BSc City & Regional Planning (Master's preferred)
Desired Work Experience: 3-5 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Specialist Urban Planning and Architecture and supervise the work of Research Associates and Analysts.
- Coordinate with other sector task leads and senior research analysts as needed.
- Research, analyze, and synthesize data from primary and secondary sources.
- Organize, clean, and analyze data.
- Possess strong urban and regional research and analysis skills.
- Possess advanced urban planning expertise; supervise and lead the team in planning and preparing project presentations.
- Use Geographic Information System (GIS) and other software for statistical and graphical analysis.
- Review regulatory and governance frameworks and recommend improvements.
- Conduct research, analyze data and review literature, including policies, feasibility studies, existing documents such as master plans and best practices.
- Prepare existing and future situation scenarios for master planning.
- Conduct and prepare project review presentations.
- Formulate models of sustainable cities based on global examples.
- Conduct analysis/review of urban planning and design projects.
- Develop theoretical and analytical frameworks to support research.
- Develop concept notes, technical and working papers.
- Preparation of presentations and proposals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
