Job Description:
- IT, computer science, or computer engineering bachelor's degree / Network Administration/ Electronics Engineering from HEC recognized University. (Master's Degree, or 16 years of schooling)
- 03 years post-qualification experience in LAN & WAN installation & configuration, routing & switching, and network security.
- ability to solve problems effectively
- Domiciled in province of the Punjab.
The Assistant Director (Management Information Systems) in the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department of Pakistan plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the department's information systems. This position involves collaborating with departmental officers to assess future network requirements and planning necessary system modifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Planning and Management: Work closely with departmental officers to determine future network needs and plan for network and system changes.
System Development and Implementation: Develop and implement information systems that support the department's environmental protection and climate change initiatives.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze environmental data to generate reports that inform policy decisions and strategic planning.
Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with other government agencies and stakeholders to ensure the effective use of information systems in environmental management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Requirements: A B.Sc. in Environmental Engineering or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing information systems, preferably within the environmental sector.
Skills: Proficiency in GIS software, data analysis tools, and a strong understanding of environmental policies and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with officials from the department to figure out what the network will need in the future and how to change the system and network.
- Create tools and methods for testing and putting new LAN/WAN equipment into use.
- analyzes workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designs router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols; and establishes network specifications by consulting with users.
